Magenta Occupational Therapy is an independent occupational therapy practice based in the West Midlands, owned and operated by Louise Baudet :  

"I have worked in a professional capacity as an OT for over 15 years working with children and adults both within the NHS and independently.  As an OT my professional clinical settings have included Community Paediatrics, Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health inpatient, Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Learning Disability services, Crisis and Home Treatment Early Intervention Psychosis, Looked After Children as well as Adult Social Care. 

I offer a range of services which include standardised and non-standardised evidence based assessments, consultations, therapeutic intervention work and training for families, schools, employers and residential homes.  I have written for the professional publication of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy. 

My specialist areas of practise are neuro-diverse conditions, sensory processing, sleep and trauma informed therapies.  My unique background in both Paediatric and CAMHS Occupational Therapy have enabled me to train and work extensively with children aged 0 to 25 years as a dual trained therapist.

  • Registered with the Association for Psychological Therapies (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Level 2)
  • Recognised BUSS Practitioner (Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems) Level 2 with Level 3 Practicum
  • Sensory Integration Level 3 on Masters route and member of Sensory Integration Network
  • Trained Sleep Practitioner and developed holistic Sleep OT Assessment Tool which has been implemented in CAMHS settings in Birmingham and Solihull
  • ASI WISE Ayres Sensory Integration for Mental Health and Wellbeing training
  • Other specialist areas of training relating to therapeutic areas of work – Mindfulness up to Level 3, Life Story Coach and Advanced Certificate in Life Coaching, Sand Tray Therapy, Lego Therapy, Bibliography and Psychological art coaching. 

On a personal level, I have personal experience of disability as a mom with special needs children.  My personal journey bringing up my own children led me to set up the North Warwickshire Special Needs Support Group (now called Embrace Special Needs Friendship Group), and a Special Needs Toy Library as featured on BBC Children in Need. I continue to do voluntary work to support children and families.  

I have also been a School Governor and worked within education, bringing a knowledgeable perspective to my work when working with children experiencing difficulties in school.   

I understand many of the challenges and perspectives faced by children, young people and families on a day to day basis.  When working with families I advocate a strengths based approach through my work, to ensure that a childs' positive qualities are used as a firm foundation for their future. 

I am a registered Occupational Therapist with the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (registration BT0808970)

I am registered to practise with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC registration OT68563).  

I have an Enhanced DBS and am also First Aid trained
